Media Institute Students Offered Opportunity for Conclave Music Business Scholarship
A new scholarship offering valued at up to $16000.00 is announced today by The Conclave and the Media Institute. Students in the Media Institute’s Recording & Music Technology will have an opportunity to earn a Conclave Music Business Scholarship. The award will be a $4,000.00 tuition waiver for up to four semesters. The first award will be given out at the annual Conclave summer learning conference in July of 2012. Since 1979, the non-profit Conclave - in keeping with its mission of educating the broadcast industry - has been awarding scholarships to deserving students desiring an education inside the radio and music industries. Now included in the scholarships offered by the Conclave is an award to full-time students in the Media Institute’s Recording and Music Technology program at either their Madison, WI or their Minneapolis, MN campus. Students interested in applying for the Conclave Scholarship are required to submit an essay describing how they intend to use the education received at the Media Institute to make a difference in the music industry. To remain eligible for the scholarship the student must maintain a 3.0 GPA. "Our students work hard to fund their schooling. This scholarship offers a great opportunity for an especially dedicated Recording & Music Technology student to be rewarded for their efforts.” said Doug Olson, Recording & Music Technology Program Chair.
